Liliana Ruth Iciksonas
I was born in Córdoba Capital.
Motivated by a family milestone in which my zeide (grandfather) gave my bobe (grandmother) a beautiful piano as a wedding gift and according to what his children say in an amateur way, he sang while she played it... also by chance to some neighbors to play the recorder, at the age of 6 I began to study this last instrument with a private teacher.
At the age of 19 I graduated as a "Flute Teacher" and at 23 years old with a "Graduate in Psychology".
The following years I dedicated myself to perfecting myself by taking classes with great teachers and studying in important conservatories and universities, giving concerts and enriching myself with other cultures in countries such as Israel, Belgium, Austria, the United States (where I lived for some years), Hungary, Spain, Later I graduated as a Mindfulness Teacher.
MUSIC AND HOLOCAUST
How did two such different words "Music" and "Holocaust" go through the same time and place together?
Since I was a child, it caught my attention the story of my paternal grandfather, who came to Argentina from Lithuania in the 1920s to "save himself" from military service.
Thanks to that fact, he formed his own family and settled his life in this country.
Unfortunately, years later during the Second World War, SS officers murdered his parents and ten siblings.
Since I have also studied music since I was a child, for more than 20 years I have been carrying out research on Music and the Holocaust.
Some of the contents addressed in my research are resilience, the musical styles Tango in Yiddish, Jazz, Classical Music during the Shoa, Music in the Ghettos and Fields.
When I coordinate classes, workshops and conferences, the way I present is through verbal presentations complemented by flute interpretations.
SOME TOPICS ABOUT M AND H

THE PIANIST, MUSIC BEYOND THE FILM
“The Pianist” is an essential film, whose one of its greatest virtues is its didactic value.
It shows us to what abysses the human being can descend.
It also presents how music can accompany the human spirit in the most tragic moments, increasing the basic will to survive.
